Jayasuriya grounded by Air Lanka stewardess

DUBAI: Sri Lankan master blaster, Sanath Jayasuriya has finally been bowled over by an Air Lankan stewardess who he will marry next month. The 28-year-old cricketer and his bride to be, Sumudu, are to spend their honeymoon in UAE, The Khaleej Times said, quoting Faleel Marikkar of Al Ain Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi who is organising the couple's visit here.

Jayasuriya, one of the world's most explosive batsman will finally be tying the nuptial knot at Lanka Oberoi on May 8 after playing down reports of his marriage for a long time. Though it was Jayasuriya's brilliant performance with the bat that won the World Cup for Sri Lanka, Sumudu surprisingly does not like cricket and cannot even watch a match, the daily said. Fellow lankan star Roshan Mahanama and his wife will also be accompanying the couple on the UAE tour set to begin on May 11.
