EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, April 29: The Delhi High Court today directed the city government to submit all records pertaining to the activities of Shahid Khan alias Munna, a Fatehpuri scrap dealer, who the police claim regular receives stolen property. Khan, meanwhile petitioned the court alleging that he was abducted, tortured and implicated by the Delhi police in a number of false cases.

A division bench comprising Justices Devender Gupta and N G Nandi issued the direction to the state government on Khan's petition. In an affidavit, Standing Counsel S K Aggarwal, submitted that ``under the garb of the present writ petition, the petitioner is attempting to continue his nefarious activities and thus the writ is not maintainable.''

The court fixed August 3 as the date for the final arguments. The petitioner claimed compensation and sought a CBI inquiry into the abduction, illegal detention, extortion and attempt to murder by the police in April 1996.
