IOC to set up 2 bottling plants

MUMBAI, May 1: The board of directors of Indian Oil Corporation has okayed the setting up of two new LPG bottling plants, one each in Orissa and West Bengal. The board also cleared the proposal to set up new automated tank lorry milling bays (TLF) and tank farm management system at its existing bulk oil terminal in Jalandhar, Punjab.

According to IOC, the two new LPG bottling plants at Jharsuguda near Rourkela in Orissa and at Malda in West Bengal will each have a bottling capacity of 22,000 tonnes per annum. The cost for the Jharsuguda LPG bottling plant in Orissa is estimated at Rs 33.42 crore while the Malda plant in West Bengal will cost Rs 33.31 crore. IOC has also already acquired land from the respective state governments for setting up these two LPG bottling plants.
