One held for murdering wife

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, May 3: Aga Mohammed Chausjade, a 35-year-old unemployed resident of Bhawani Peth, was today arrested by Samartha police on charges of murdering his wife Shahin (30) over dowry demands.

Aga had allegedly murdered Shahin by stabbing in her chest with a pointed weapon following a scuffle late last night. He was arrested after Shahin's brother, Abbas Sayyed, lodged a complaint with the police.

Police said Aga, who had lost his job about two years back, used to harass Shahin over the demand that she should bring money from her brother to carry out household expenses.

The scuffle started when Shahin protested against Aga's decision to sell some gifts sent by his mother from Iran, they added.
