3 accused of cheating A case of cheating and criminal breach of trust has been registered against three people, who sold a plot of land at Varachha Road to a man by forging papers. Pradeepkumar Sharma lodged a complaint in the Kapodara police station stating that Mukeshkumar Jairambhai, Gordhanbhai and Purshottam Raval, all residents of the city, had sold a plot of land to the complainant for Rs 2 lakh, though it did not belong to them. Though plot no 445, in Sitaram Society, Varachha did not belong to Mukeshkumar, he produced the papers of ownership on April 21, the complainant added. The police have registered a case and are investigating. The accused are absconding, the police said.Injured An argument between women in the Navsari Bazaar area of the city took a serious turn with one of them receiving head injuries. Hemaben Muljibhai lodged a complaint against Hansaben Meghwad, Premji Khumar and Dudha Kamma, saying that they beat her and threatened to kill her, when she objected to her children being harassed by the accused. The Athwa Lines police have registered a case under IPC 324, 294 (1) and 504 (2) and are investigating. Hit-and-run A man, who was hit by an autorickshaw, sustained serious injuries and a broken leg in a case of reckless driving registered in the Udhna police station, on Sunday. When Rammohan Bharadwaj, a resident of Road No 6 area of Udhna, was pushing his larri on the Udhna Main road, he was hit by a autorickshaw, driven by Chandrabhan Patil.
