Engineers India Limited (EIL) conceded their match against last year's runners-up Northern Railway after trailing 0-6 in the 25th minute of the first half when they were reduced to six players in the Grou B match of Delhi Soccer Association's institutional league. Northern Railways' Lalit Singh, striker Vimal Thapa (3), midfielder Yashpal Rawat and Aftab Ashraf scored. In a Group D match, Food Corporation of India (Headquarters) got a walkover from Railway Board.

Minda advance
Ajay Chaudhary (4 for 46) and Manoj Sidhu (65: 7x4, 4x6) helped Minda Group Sports Club score a convincing seven-wicket win over DETA XI in a first-round match of the second Lala Hari Ram Aggarwal Memorial tournament.DETA XI: 156 (Nitin Wadhwa 25, Ajay Chaudhary 4 for 46, Pawan Sharma 3 for 20); Minda Group: 160 for 3 (Manoj Sidhu 65 not out, Ajay Chaudhary 36, Udey Bhan 22).

Cricket tourney
