PATIALA, May 4: Defender Sandeep Kaur will lead the 16-member Indian women's team to the ninth women's World Cup Hockey Championships to be held at Utrecht, the Netherlands from May 20 to 31.Announcing the team after a trials at the final camp in NIS, Patiala, Indian Women's Hockey Association (IWHA) secretary Amrit Bose said 15 of the names had been finalised while the last place would be decided between Helen Mary Soy and Ferdina Ekka for the second goalkeeper's slot.

Goalkeepers: Tingonglaima Chanu (Rlys) (second spot to be decided between Helen Mary and Ferdina Ekka).
Defenders: Sandeep Kaur (Railways - captain), Shashi Bala, Renu Bala (RCF),

Forwards: Nidhi Khullar, Kamla Dalal, Manjinder Kaur, Pritam Thakran, Suraj Lata Devi (Rlys), Jyoti Sunita Kullu (RCF) and Channi Sanggai Chanu (Manipur).
