State government transfers 8 DSPs

AHMEDABAD, May 4: The State government on Monday transferred eight district superintendents of police (DSPs). According to a release, Atul Karwal who was recently transferred as DSP Kutch-Bhuj from the police headquarters, has been posted as deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Zone-4, Ahmedabad (City). Karwal was replaced by Keshav Kumar who was the DCP Zone-5 in Ahmedabad (City).

Similarly J K Champawat, deputy commissioner of Prohibition and Excise department, Rajkot, has been shifted as commandant, State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Group 12, Gandhinagar. Champawat replaced P D Jhala who has been transferred as superintendent of Central Jail, Ahmedabad.

Deputy commissioner of police, Zone-4 Ahmedabad (City) Tirthraj has been transferred as DCP Traffic, Ahmedabad. He replaced J K Bhatt who had been transferred as DSP Ahmedabad rural. DSP Junagarh D G Vanjara has been transferred as superintendent of police Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), Ahmedabad. He replaced Vivek Shrivastava who has be appointed DSP Junagarh.
