If a guy makes a pass at you, will you feel flattered

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
1st I will be offended if a guy bypasses me! I hold myself in great esteem and therefore, will definitely feel flattered if a guy makes a pass at me. As I wear glasses, it will also disprove the adage `Guys don't make passes, at gals with glasses'! Of course, I'll draw the line if he tries to cross the limits of decency. If the pass is classy and in style, well, maybe I'll swoon!
Priya Swaminathan

2nd Feeling flattered or offended will totally depend upon the way the pass is made. If it is made in a very kindly manner by a gentleman, I will undoubtedly feel flattered and `pass' the pass. But if it is made in a very rude manner by some roadside Romeo then certainly it will offend me.
Ramyed Droofatee

3rd Feeling flattered or offended because of a pass and comments by a guy very much depends on the motive behind it. Actions speak louder than words. Women by and large can judge men and can know which pass reflects lust, appreciation or just a desire to have an introduction. My reaction rests on the overtures whether friendly or sickly, frank or morbid, decent or vulgar. I will also try and find out whether my dress, make-up and style of walking provoked him. If I am in the wrong, I cannot afford to lose my temper. If I am right I can keep my cool and thank him politely or admonish him mildly according to the situation.

  • If a guy makes a pass at me, I would neither feel flattered nor offended but I will totally ignore him. Yes, I may feel a bit irritated at being singled out and treated in a derogatory fashion as a sex object, instead of being treated with dignity and decency which I feel is the prerogative of the fair sex. However, I will never show even a slight irritation as it will give them an extra kick and added pleasure. Completely ignoring them is an excellent repellent for these guys.

  • Frankly, why would I feel offended? Everybody loves flattery and if it comes from an unknown guy (stranger) all the more better. In fact if a person is used to such positive passes and if he/she does not get one; then he would be offended - besides making a pass makes the giver as well as the receiver feel good, so what's the harm?
    Ashwan Duggal

Feeling flattered is natural. It arises when one is impudent, imbecile, over excited and fickle minded. To feel offended is to lack self control, confidence, courage and rational vision. Girls should not feel constrained as the act does not amount to any violation of right, crime or wrong. It is absolutely a natural act and a part of life. Girls should react towards the same as a prudent person and not like ones deprived of their freedom.
