GG Dutt Cricket from May 7
The All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament will be held at the Hindu College from May 7. Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma will inaugurate the match on May 7. The final will be played on May 31.

Eighteen teams will participate in the tournament. Last year's winner Sonnet c.c, runners-up Delhi Police, D.S.Group , Noida and Indian Airlines have been give bye into the quarter-final and Krishi Exports, Varanasi and State Bank of Patiala have been given bye into the pre-quarter final. All the matches will be off 40 overs.

Firdosi shines
Malik Sports (211 in 38.1 overs: Azhar Firdosi 42, Moinuddin 36, Satish 4 for 25) defeated Friends c.c (138 in 36.1 overs: Sanjay Bharadwaj 51, D.D.Sharma 25, Kamil 2 for 21, Moinuddin 2 for 12) by 73 runs in a D division DDCA League at the Kotla No 1 ground. Central Secretariat (182 for 4 in 34.3 overs: V.P.Gill 44, Sanjay Singh 34 n.o, S.K.Gautam 33) triumphed over NSCC (180 in 39.4 overs: Nafees Ahmed 59, Pardeep Deswal 41, Sanjay Singh 3 for 19, Rattan Lal 2 for 25, Devender Singh 2 for 26) by six wickets in a A division match at the Central Secretariat ground.

At Kotla No 2, Maulana Azad c.c (224 in 34.3 overs: Mohd Rehan 72, Asim 41, Dharamveer 2 for 35, Amit Shukla 2 for 27, Pardeep Mann 3 for 2) beat Delhi Wonders (113 in 31.2 overs: Sanjeev Thapliyal 32, Mohd Rehan 3 for 6) by 111 runs.

In a C division match at the University ground, Gautam Gambhir (64) and Salman Shah (71) helped Chand Club (257 for 7 in 40 overs: Gautam Gambhir 64, Salman Shah 71 n.o, Sohail Rauf 42, Rajat Khanna 15, Kapil Sharma 2 for 29, Agnesh Kumar 2 for 37) beat Bara Hindu Rao c.c (173 for 8 in 40 overs: Agnesh Kumar 34, Rohit Rathi 30 n.o, Gautam Gambhir 2 for 28, Vipin Bharadwaj 2 for 14) by 84 runs.

Winsome advance
Winsome Club (150 for 1 in 22.5 overs: Suhail Rauf 75 n.o, Gautam Gambhir 64 n.o) beat South Delhi Coaching Centre (146 in 34.5 overs: Abhishek 30, Vivek 19, Gautam Gambhir 3 for 28, Tony Singh 3 for 20) by nine wickets in the second Moonways under 19 cricket league.

Sona lose
Sona Club (185 in 26.1 overs: Rajnesh 37, Sudhir Siddhu 29, Sanjay Dhiman 22, Pankaj Joshi 4 for 23, Vikas 2 for 29) lost to Chand Khanna xi (189 for 6 in 30 overs; Sunil Joshi 48 n.o, Naveen Asrani 41, Manish Chawla 25, Sudhir Siddhu 3 for 38, Sanjay Gaur 2 for 35) by four runs in the second Lala Hari Ram Aggarwal Memorial Cricket.

Pawan move up
Pawan xi (159 for 6 in 24.3 overs: Vishal Rajdan 48, Pankaj Joshi 39, Amar Singh 30, John Anthony 2 for 18, Sanjay Gill 2 for 38) defeated Bhola xi (158 in 24.3 overs: Sanjay Gill 30, Pradeep 29, Pankaj Malik 28, Sanjay Verma 2 for 17, Rajeev Punj 2 for 35) by four wickets in the Netaji Subhash Chander Memorial Cricket.
