My heart sank with Titanic
Priya Agrawal
I was thought to be very moody, rude and, not to mention, disobedient. But then again at the age of 17 everybody experiences growing up pains and this behaviour is very common. But the turning point of my life was the movie Titanic. It changed my life, my attitude.Titanic is a romantic tale set against the background of a ship which made history, besides being the largest ship, when in 1912 it sunk on its first voyage and never sailed the oceans ever again. But that's not the point, what changed my life is that it made me realise that life is unpredictable. Anything can happen any moment - a ship can sink, a building can collapse, shattering your entire life. It can make you lose your loved ones in a flash. They would be gone for ever before you had the chance to say `sorry' for your actions, the word they were dying to hear... well they would be dead to hear it, if it's too late! I realised that one wouldn't have the chance to show how much one cared for the other, how much they meant to them and that life would be a drag without them realising this, I changed my mind before it's too late. Parents deserve a little happiness from their children, for whom they have gone through the thorns of life just for the flowers to bloom for our happiness. All it takes is tochange one's attitude and the world will be a different place. I have wished to share my experience, to help all those who are like me, to realise that giving others happiness is life's greatest rewards, before another Titanic sinks any chances of it!
