Bhubaneswar, May 16: The votary of transcedental meditation, Dr Prasanna Patsani has a `deadly' revelation -- AIDS can be cured and fully. While Western scientists are nowhere around a full-proof system against this modern scourge, the BJD MP has a simple but wonderful medicine rooted in the ancient ayurvedic philosophy.Patsani's course of cure goes thus: Chant `Maha Nrusingha Mantra' 108 times a day continuously for 21 days beneath a neem tree and sleep thereon during the whole period. The self-styled yogi claims this has far reaching influence on the society and can rid the human body of HIV completely. But he prescribes a medicine too: The AIDS patient should cut a hole in the trunk of the neem tree and put 100 gm of fine quality `arua' (rice) from the day one and seal the pit. The patient should open the seal on the 22nd day and take the `rice cream' for subsequent 21 days.
Patsani says the prescription is based on ancient diagnosis system.
``Everyone raises eyebrows and underestimate me when Isay that I have gone through an old palm leaf where treatment of AIDS was prescribed by ayurvedic methods,'' says Patsani.
But he strikes an optimistic note. One day or other, he predicts, the world will look to India, particularly to the land of Jagannath and Hindu religion, to get a way out for the disease which is more frightening than a nuclear bomb. The logic behind his assertion is, the ingredients of AIDS medicine -- neem tree and `Maha Nrushingha Mantra' -- are available in India only.
Patsani says, both the ingredients are unique as Lord Jagannath was shaped from a piece of neem tree and Maha Nrusingha Mantra is favourite chant of the God of the universe.
Unveiling his source of AIDS prescription, Patsani says he found the priceless palm leaf at Mehendipur, a small village of old Cuttack district. The palm leaf was written by late Vaidyaraj Somnath Das. The symptoms mentioned in the palm leaf are well-nigh of AIDS, he claims.
The yogi politician also claims that deadly AIDS can beprevented by practising regular yoga exercises like `pranayam, yogasan' (purifying nervous system) and `dhyan' (purifying mind).
