PFA activists for proper cages for circus animals

CHANDIGARH, May 17: Around 15 activists of People for Animals (PFA) held a rally outside the Circus Ground in Sector 17 here this evening. They demanded that veterinary certificates, confirming "clearance" of the each animal engaged for the circus, should be verified by the administration. The also demanded proper cages for the animals performing in the circus.They added that a strict action should be taken against the circus management if it failed to produce the certificates or if the same were found invalid. According to police sources, the protest passed off peacefully.
