No casualties were reported. The fire reportedly broke out at around 12.30 a.m. and was brought under control by around 10 a.m.. A shoe factory was operating from the basement and ground floors and a plastic album-making factory was functioning from the first floor. The police say that neither the cause of the fire nor the extent of the damage is known. In another fire, a saree shop and a chemists' shop were gutted in a fire in Sarojini Nagar. There was no loss of life.
