Villagers guzzle liquor from stranded truck

TAMIL NADU, May 19: Since the last two days, menfolk in Bommanyakan Patti and Navanari villages near Dharapuram in Erode district of Tamil Nadu have been virtually swimming in liquor.A truck laden with variety of Indian-made liquor crates, broke down in the village while the driver and the cleaner abandoned it. Lured by the whiff of liquor they broke open the cases and guzzled down the self-made concoctions. The police were belatedly informed and the inquiry is on.
