Villagers teach school staff a lesson

PALAMPUR, May 22: Enraged over infighting between two groups of the Government High School at Mundi village, 12 km from here, the residents locked the school building yesterday. DSP S. R. Rana said here today that the lone lady teacher was up against the headmaster and other male colleagues who, she alleged, had been consuming alcohol during school hours within the premises for the last one month.The headmaster has recently been transferred to the Mundi High School. The lady teacher has alleged that this was creating a bad influence among the students, besides vitiating the academic atmosphere. The villagers have demanded immediate transfer of the headmaster.
