Satta racket
The police have reportedly busted a satta operation in East Delhi, where bets were being placed on a cricket match between England and South Africa being played yesterday. The racket was being run in Jheel Kuureji.

The main person behind the racket, Shiv Karan alias Balebaj, a resident of Kondli village in Geeta colony, has been arrested after a decoy of the Crime Branch placed Rs 500 bet on England not making more than 100 runs in 20 overs. Police reportedly recovered around Rs 8,540 in stake money. Shiv Karan has reportedly admitted to the police that he made around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 profits on each match.

DDU doctor beaten up
Relatives of a deceased patient beat up DDU doctor Anurag Diwan on Thursday. Three persons have been arrested in this connection. According to DCP Rajesh Malik (West), following the death of a 70-year-old resident of Harinagar who was admitted at the hospital on Tuesday, his relatives created trouble at the hospital.

They alleged that Pritam Singh had died due to negligence on part of the doctor. Had the patient been treated promptly he would have been saved, they argued. West district police is on the look-out for the other relatives apart from the trio who have been arrested.
