Fellowship for young scribes
The National Foundation for India has announced its 1998-99 Media Fellowships Programme for young, mid-career and sensitive journalists which will enable them to take time off from their routine occupations to research and publish articles on issues concerning gender equity and gender justice.

The Foundation offers five fellowships of Rs 1 lakh each year. Journalists, specially women journalists from small newspapers with demonstrated capacity to publish well-researched articles, are encouraged to apply. DUTA expresses serious concern n THE Delhi University Teachers' Association has expressed serious concern over the non-payment of salaries to college teachers for the month of April. DUTA has warned the UGC against harassing the teachers. It also condemned the vice-chancellor's silence on the issue.

Application for B.Ed, M.Ed
The Faculty of Education, Delhi University, has initiated the admission process for B.El.Ed (four-year integrated professional course), B.Ed (one-year course) and M.Ed (one-year full-time and two-year part-time course). Application forms and prospectus for these courses will be available from May 25 and the admission will be through centralised common entrance tests for each.

Career campaign from May 25
A career campaign has been planned from May 25 to June 5 by the Delhi Government. The campaign will cover dissemination of information about courses of education, apprenticeship training, vocational guidance and employment market profile. It will be organised from 10 am to 3 pm at sub-regional employment exchanges, university employment information and guidance bureau, zonal employment exchanges and Delhi Public Library.

New restaurant
ZAIKA, which has two kiosks at Sector 7 and Sector 15 Rohini, opened a restaurant at Sector 7 on Friday. It promises to provide customers with an array of Chinese and Indian dishes, at reasonable prices.
