"There's no need to terrorise neighbouring countries"
After his exit from the Congress' top post, Sitaram Kesri spent almost two months quietly, away from the crowds, cameras and journalists. However, last week he was the chief guest at a function organised by the Periyar International Institute at Erode, Tamil Nadu. Kesri also used the occasion to visit Coimbatore where a series of explosions on the eve of elections left more than 60 people dead.
  The secular Mussalman
On September 24, 1948, after the demise of Quaid-e-Azam Mohamed Ali Jinnah, his sister Fatima Jinnah and Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan submitted a joint petition at the Karachi High Court describing Jinnah as a `Shia Khoja Mohamedan' and praying that his will be disposed of under Shia inheritance law.

Memories of Pokharan-I
The dust-storm raised in Delhi by the series of nuclear tests at Pokharan will now begin to settle as India Inc braces itself to fight the economic fallout. In any case, life in the capital flows on quietly.
Who cares about the PM anyway?
Poor Atal Behari Vajpayee. While he's having a tough time trying to restrain hawks in his set-up who want to take on China and build a temple at Pokharan after distributing this `holy' sand across the country, no one seems to be listening to his views on the economic front either.
