20-year-old shot dead in Sion Koliwada

MUMBAI, May 24: A 20-year-old youth was killed by two unidentified assailants at Sion Koliwada late this evening. According to police, the incident occurred around 9.10 pm when Manojkumar Tejappa Pujari was standing near Adarsh Nagar Sahkari Bank, Building No 7, at Sardar Nagar No 1. Two men accosted him and one of the them whipped out a handgun tucked under his belt, firing one round at him from close range. The bullet hit Manojkumar on the forehead and he collapsed on the spot.

He lived in room 342 of building No 7 in Guru Tejbahadur Nagar, under the jurisdiction of the Antop Hill police station. Manojkumar's father Tejappa Pujari rushed him to LMT Hospital at Sion, but he was declared dead before admission. Police suspect the murder to be a the fallout of a previous feud.
