VADODARA, May 25: The members of the Indian Lions (IL) propose to set up their first centre outside the state in Mumbai.IL already has eight centres comprising 250 members in the state. Addressing reporters here on Sunday IL Chairman Natubhai Choksi said, ``The centre has been working towards promoting educational activities for rural children.''Choksi said the centre distributed note-books and imparted free education to children coming from economically backward classes.
``We have a blind school for girls, where everything is free including lodging, food and books,'' he said.
He said that the centre was also planning to set up a school, where underprivileged children could be provided free education.He added that apart from the city, the other centres were situated in Halol and Kalol.
