Another Pepsi truck set on fire in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD, May 25: In another attack on multinationals under its `Swadeshi Abhiyan', activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) set a Pepsi truck ablaze in the Kalupur area of the city on Monday, causing damage of over Rs 1 lakh. No arrests have been made so far.

Five days ago, VHP activists had burnt and looted trucks of Pepsi and Coca Cola in two different areas of the city.

According to information, the incident was reported at around 2 p.m. when a group of VHP supporters intercepted a Pepsi truck near N.C. Bodiwala College on Kalupur Tunkshal Road. The activists shouted slogans against the US's decision to levy sanctions on Indian s a result of the nuclear tests at Pokharan.
