Child lifted from Rohtak hospital

ROHTAK, May 25: Lying on the bed in ward number 2, unit 3 of Gyanecology Department of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Promila sobs. She looks forlornly for her lost son. According to sources, Promila delivered a male child in medical college hospital on May 17. A woman came to Promila yesterday and said that a doctor has asked her to bring the child for medical examination. She took the child but never returned. The matter has been brought to the notice of the hospital staff and the police. However, all efforts to locate the woman failed.The father Dulgan, hails from Madhya Pradesh and work as a labourer at Asodha Mor.

The police has registered a case under Section 363 IPC.The nurses who are on strike attributed it to the sheer negligence of the staff on duty.

Meanwhile, the nurses strike has nearly paralysed health services in the hospital as it entered the fifth day today.

The nurses resorted to single shift from May 5. Boycotting evening and night shifts in support of their demand for pay-hike and other allowances.

Meanwhile, the government has stiffened its stand. The talks between the government and the nurses representatives which began today, were postponed said Saroj Hooda, the nurses' representative.
