NEW DELHI, May 26: Indian scientists have set up a permanent digital seismic observatory and a geodetic station at Maitri, India's research centre in Antarctica, to carry out high-precision scientific experiments in future. Also, a bust of Mahatma Gandhi along with a digital data transmission line between New Delhi and Antarctica to improve communication facilities, was installed at Maitri station, A L Koppar, leader of the 17th Indian Antarctic expedition, said at a debriefing function here on Tuesday.
