Armed loot
Four unidentified youths forcibly entered the office of a mill-owner at Katargam GIDC on Monday evening and after injuring him with swords and other sharp weapons, escaped with Rs 76,000 in cash, a complaint registered in the Katargam police station said. Vinodchandra Chahawala, the owner of workshop number 505 and 506 at the Katargam GIDC told the police that he was sitting in his office when the four accused assaulted him and decamped with the cash from his possession. A case under IPC 394 and 379 has been registered and is being investigated by the Katargam police.

Tortured
A woman complained to the Rander police that her husband and his parents were torturing her physically and mentally for a part of her father's property. The complainant, a resident of Ambaji Road Nagar area of the city, also added that she was also beaten up on numerous occasions by the three.
