VADODARA, May 26: State Assembly Speaker Dhirubhai Shah has mooted the formation of Board of Naturopathy in the State so as to popularise the science of natural medicines for the benefit of the public at large.Shah was speaking at the valedictory function of a 25-day naturopathy training camp organised by Akhil Bharatiya Prakritik Jeevan Sangh here on Tuesday. Former MP Manubhai Patel also spoke on the occasion and highlighted various miraculous medicinal benefits of the nature.
About 108 persons, between 25 and 80 years of age, from various states including Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Orissa and Assam participated in the training camp. This was ninth such camp organised by the Sangh since its inception about 40 years ago.
Shah and Patel who also is Sangh chief in their respective addresses to the gathering highlighted the importance and the advantages of naturopathy and said they would take up the issue of forming a Board of Naturopathy with the State government soon.
Naturopathy experts including Jay Sanghvi, Sugyaram Ladkani, Gokulbhai, Ramanibhai Gada, Harishbhai Dholkia, Sitaben Aiyyer and Nirmalbhai also spoke on the occasion.
