BEIJING, MAY 28: China, Pakistan's staunchest ally, will squarely blame India for Islamabad's tit-for-tat multiple nuclear tests and a dangerous arms race in South Asia, analysts say.Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Chengli was informed about the Pakistani decision to carry out the tests in advance, reports said adding Iran and Saudi Arabia were also consulted.
There was no official comment immediately as the news reached here after office hours. The official Xinhua news agency has reported the tests but without comments.
However, analysts say ``Beijing will squarly blame New Delhi for the dangerous situation and tensions in South Asia.''
Ever since India conducted its own nuclear tests, China has been charging India with hegemonistic ambition in South Asia.
At a routine chinese foreign ministry briefing earlier today, the spokesman Zhu Bangzao said India was `single-handedly' responsible for the tensions in South Asia.
Asked whether China agreed with Pakistan if Islamabad conducted a nucleartest, the spokesman evaded a direct answer.
