PUNE, June 1: A 22-year-old woman set herself and her six-month-old child ablaze in her house at Gorpari here on Sunday under mysterious circumstances, police said.Firemen had to make an entry from the roof by removing the tiles as the door was firmly locked from inside. By the time they entered the house and managed to put out the fire, both the woman, Seema Manoj Adagale and her child were charred to death.
Seema's husband, a mechanic, told the police that his wife was in a depressed state of mind. He told them that he had gone to work while his parents had gone out of the house when the gruesome incident took place.
They were married about four years back. The police did not find any suicide note in the house.
