MUMBAI, June 1: In the fifth shootout within a span of 36 hours, an alleged aide of Chhota Rajan was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Borivli on Sunday night.The central police control room received a message at around 11.15 pm that an injured person is lying in a pool of blood near Exsar Dongri on the Laxmi Narayan Road. The Borivli police rushed to the spot and after finding the body, took the injured person to the Bhagwati hospital where the doctors declared him dead on admission.
The police identified the dead man as 28-year-old Sanjay Kadam and suspected he belonged to the Chhota Rajan gang.
Three empty cartridges were found near Kadam's body. Kadam's killing is the 45th incident of mafia killing in this year.
