NEW DELHI, June 5: The BJP has begun implementing its ``Mission Mamata'' in order to win back the sulking Trinamool Congress leader on time for voting on the Budget. The Trinamool Congress has suspended its support to the government and its seven MPs are boycotting the Lok Sabha. The minority government could find itself in a fix over the passage of money bills unless Banerjee is appeased.
A five-member team of BJP MPs will visit West Bengal early next week on a ``fact-finding'' mission to ascertain complaints of the state BJP and Trinamool Congress against the West Bengal government. Banerjee has demanded that the State Government be dismissed on account of the law and order situation there. She has accused the Left Front government of persecuting her workers during the recent panchayat elections.
There were indications today that Home Minister L K Advani might go to Calcutta during Parliament's inter-session break (from June 12 to 29) to talk to Banerjee.
West Bengal Governor A R Kidwai is expectedto come to Delhi around June 12. The BJP has appointed Banerjee chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways clearly a move to appease her.
