Clash between Ethiopia and Eritrea again

ADDIS ABABA, JUNE 10: Ethiopia said today that Eritrean forces launched a fresh attack on its positions near Badme in the heart of disputed territory that has sparked a growing conflict between the Horn of Africa neighbours.A statement from Ethiopia's government spokeswoman said fighting began at Erde Mattios and was continuing. Known by Eritrea as Badme and by Ethiopia as Badame, the area is a rocky 400 square km triangle of land claimed by both sides along the western border.No details of casualties were immediately available and there was no confirmation of the fighting from Eritrean officials.
