The Kshatriya Union Club will be conducting their 36th District Ranking Open carrom tournament, under the auspices of the Mumbai District Carrom Association, from June 20 onwards at the Vanmali Hall, Dadar.Entries will be accepted daily from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. till June 13 at the Vanmali Hall, Dadar.

MCA seeks availability of umpires

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has requested for the availability of all the umpires on its panel and register for the 1998-99 cricket season.

The prescribed forms for the same and also requesting for the personal bio-data therein are sent to all the umpires, which should be returned duly filled in to Dara Dotiwalla, the honourary secretary of the Board of Umpires latest by June 18.

ACUM lectures on scoring

The Thane Chapter of the Association of Cricket Umpires will organise lectures on Umpiring and Scoring on June 14 at Mulund Gymkhana between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m along with free coaching classes. Guest speakersMohandas Menon and Theo Braganza will speak on `Introduction to the course for scorers'. Former Test umpire Piloo Reporter will speak on `Relationship between Umpires and Scorers'.
