SAD-BJP man is Kapurthala MC president

KAPURTHALA, June 10: The SAD-BJP alliance candidate, Ashok Kumar Aggarwal, was elected president of the Kapurthala Municipal Council defeating Sudesh Kumar Aggarwal, an Independent candidate in the elections held here today.The SAD-BJP candidate polled 12 votes whereas Sudesh Kumar Aggarwal got 11 votes. SDM-cum-convener N. S. Baath told mediapersons that one vote was cancelled. Paramjit Singh was unanimously elected vice-president of the council.
