``Why did the electricity go off at this particular moment?'' rued Amit, a school going student who had been waiting for the Cup opener for days now. Amit had to rush to his friend's place to watch the game on TV. However, there were others who kept on hoping that a miracle might happen and they would be able to watch Ronaldo's dazzling skills. ``We called up the electricity department and asked them not to disappoint us but they could do nothing,'' said Vinay Kanwar, who is a footballer himself. Another footballer, living in the same area said, ``I have to call up my friend to know the score.''

When contacted, H S Brar of the engineering department said,``The fault is yet to be detected.''
