Woman abducted and raped in car

NEW DELHI, June 10: Three Maruti-borne youths allegedly abducted a 22-year-old woman from Uttam Nagar and raped her inside the car on Tuesday morning. She was later abandoned near Andheria More in Mehrauli.The incident occurred around 10 a.m., when the woman stepped out of a bus --which she boarded from Najafgarh -- and was walking towards her garment shop in the area. The youths, armed with revolvers, reportedly accosted her in the road, before forcing her into the car. She was then taken to Vasant Kunj and raped before being abandoned near Andheria More. She was spotted by a PCR van and taken to the local police station and then to a nearby hospital. A medical examination has reportedly confirmed that she was raped.
