7 die in jeep accident

MUMBAI, June 14: Seven persons were killed and six others injured when the Trax jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction at Parle village on the national highway in Raigad district early this morning.According to the police control, the collusion took place at Parle village, three kms away from Poladpur police station on national highway number 17 at 6 am. The jeep was going to Goa from Mumbai and the truck was coming in the opposite direction. The injured were then rushed to the rural Poladpur hospital for primary first aid.
