A musical evening

CHANDIGARH, June 14: Melodious songs were presented at ``Geeton Bhari Shaam'' , a programme organised by Sur-Geet, a cultural society, at Tagore Theatre, here today.

The songs were based on problems such as pollution, population boom, environment and social evils, including divorce.

The programme started off with ``Ishwar Allah Tero Naam'' sung by Raman and company.

Harleen's ``Aao Hazoor Tumko'' and Savita's ``Nainon Mein Badra'' were appreciated by the audience. R. S. Besoli and Sonia's ``Ek Chameli Ke Mandke Tale''was sung with confidence. Arvinder's ``Ur Ke Pawan Se'', Madeep's ``Dekho Mera Dil'', Ashok Kalia's ``Ye Jo Mohabbat Hai'', Raman's ``Mein Kahin Kavi Na Ban Jaaoon'' also evoked good response among the audience.
