US says Kashmir is bilateral row
In a significant change in its earlier stance, United States yesterday said Kashmir problem ultimately has to be settled bilaterally between India and Pakistan through dialogue. Meanwhile, India has repeated its offer for bilateral talks with Pakistan saying New Delhi is ready to go "the extra mile" for friendship with its neighbours.

Regional power China wants its sway in Asia
Describing itself as a "regional heavy-weight", China has said the US should work closely with Beijing to achieve Washington's strategic interests in the Asia-Pacific following the recent nuclear tests by India and Pakistan.

Establishment making me a pariah -- Al-Fayed
Egyptian multi-millionaire Mohamed-al-Fayed has again defended his conspiracy theories about the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and his son Dodi in last August's Paris car crash. The boss of Harrods department store also accused the British establishment of trying to make him a pariah.
