Have a wild Sunday
Wildlife never fails to fascinate, especially if it's someone like Deepak Dalal, who is providing an insight into it. To mark the release of his second book Ranthambore Adventure, Dalal will hold a slide show on Indian wildlife at the bookshop Word's World in Aundh on Sunday.

After the success of his first book Lakshwadeep Adventure, this is Dalal's second attempt at writing wildlife-oriented adventure books for children above nine. Parents and kids in the area can take the opportunity to get a peep into the kind of life that exists in the jungles of India. Wild idea, isn't it?

Soak in the atmosphere
After the exhausting summer that Puneites were subjected to, guess it's only natural that water is on everyone's mind, with the onset of the monsoons. Thus Bullocks, the restaurant-cum-pub on Nagar Road, has decided to `think aqua' and have water as its theme for a party on Saturday.

The pub will be done up in shades of blue and green with some water bodies set up all over, and even some sea spray, to complete the effect. The dress code is blue and the event is being managed by Stance and Sphinx. The idea, it seems, is to give Puneites a complete `wet look.' The MTV filmi fundas concept seems to be catching on.

Cheap thrills!
The monsoon's knocking at the door. But crib not, for along with the showers and the slush come the bargains and the sales. Look around town and the display window of every shop worth its name is screaming out incentives - right from 20 to 45 per cent off, and freebies too. Not just retail stores down shopping meccas like Lakshmi Road, but even brand names are hiring space to display their ware on discount. If you were thinking of new clothes, go right ahead, you can even get a whole wardrobe in the process!

A little bit of Luck(y)
Every journey is a new beginning. Whether the trip to Black Cadillac can be called a journey or not, for Lucky Ali admirers, this was an opportunity they could not afford to miss. Because he was there, in person, sharing his unique perspective on life. Chatting away with the crowd, here was Lucky Ali at his best - being just one of them, as he has always professed to be. And as promised ...Nahin rakhta dil mein kuch, he gave away autographs and had a great time with the pub regulars.
