Law and order in all Left-ruled states dismal, says Thakre
The law and order situation in all the three states ruled by the Left parties -- Kerala, West Bengal and Tripura -- is far from satisfactory, according to BJP president Kushabhau Thakre. Addressing a meet-the-press programme organised by the Ernakulam Press Club on Wednesday, Thakre said political murders have become the order of the day in Kerala.

Naidu asked to disclose stand on Ram temple
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Y S Rajasekhar Reddy yesterday demanded that TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu should disclose his party's stand on the move by Vishwa Hindu Parishad to construct a temple at the controversial site in Ayodhya.

Gujral's private diplomacy leaves BJP sulking
Former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral's private diplomacy seems to have raised eyebrows in South Block and the BJP. There is a view in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) that there could be trouble ahead for the Government with Gujral as chairman of Parliament's Standing Committee on Foreign affairs.
