Two Dal MLAs join RJD

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
PATNA, June 21: The ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar today got a shot in the arm with two more Janata Dal MLAs joining the RJD at the residence of Chief Minister Rabri Devi.

The two MLAs who switched over to the RJD are Ashok Singh and Parmeshwari Prasad Nirala hailing from North Bihar.

Ashok Singh had contested the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections from Samastipur on a Samata Party ticket. His official residence was the hub for the dissident activities.

Welcoming the two legislators to the party fold, Laloo Prasad Yadav said ``I can go to any extent to keep the communal forces at bay. Those who believe in social justice are welcome to the party fold,'' he said. Having a dig at the Samata for `unceremoniously' ousting its state general secretary, Shivanand Tiwari, MLA, Yadav said he was ``really peeved at the decision.''
