Pawar unfit to lead Oppn, says Kalmadi
Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi founder Suresh Kalmadi yesterday `advised' Sharad Pawar to resign from the post of the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha before being sacked by Sonia Gandhi. The newly elected RS member said that Pawar's move to support the candidature of newspaper baron Vijay Darda proved fatal for Congress.

Calcutta by-elections fail to spark voters' fervour
By-elections to three Assembly seats on June 25 in Calcutta hasn't stirred up the usual enthusiasm among voters. Though political parties can blame it on the on-going World Cup Football, there's no denying the fact that popular enthusiasm has been missing since they launched their campaigns.

RSS worried about PM's soulless century
The functioning of the Vajpayee government, which completes 100 days on Friday, is to come under the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh microscope at a top-level meeting of RSS and Bhartiya Janata Party leaders this week. Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Home Minister L K Advani and BJP president Kushabhau Thakre are expected to informally confer with top RSS leaders Rajendra Singh, K C Sudarshan and H V Seshadri who will be in Delhi from June 24 to 27.
