UN finds nerve gas in Iraqi missiles
United Nations weapons inspectors, in a recent routine search of Iraqi missiles, discovered traces of the deadly VX nerve gas on warheads, a senior Clinton administration official disclosed yesterday. The discovery, to be detailed at the United Nations, will strengthen the hand of the United States in maintaining tough economic sanctions on Iraq when the issue is taken up by the Security Council on Thursday.

Pakistan has atom bomb, missiles with N-warheads: Gohar Ayub
Pakistan has "developed the atom bomb and missiles with nuclear warheads to respond to a possible attack from India," Pakistani Foreign Minister Gohar Ayub Khan has said. Stating that Israel had supplied India with the activating device that could enable a nuclear detonation -- a charge denied by India -- Khan said, "Only in Israel and America can you find these devices, and we know these came from Israel."

Asian bourses head lower for want of positive news
Asia-Pacific stock markets headed lower on Tuesday on the absence of positive factors to cheer investors amid negative sentiment over fragile regional economies.
