Colour-Chem to pay 52%

MUMBAI, June 25: The directors of Colour-Chem have recommended a final dividend of 52 per cent for the year ended March 1998. Taking into consideration the special interim dividend of 108 per cent distributed in September 1997, the total dividend payout for the year is 160% against 60 per cent paid last year.The turnover of the company amounted to Rs 372.86 crore, an increase of 11.2 per cent over the previous year , despite the assignment and transfer of the textile dyes business to DyStar India with effect from September 1997. Exports rose substantially by 44.1 to reach Rs 108 crore during the year.While the profit before tax is higher at Rs 51.51 crore (Rs 33.11 crore), the profit after tax has increased to Rs 38.27 crore from Rs 24.11 crore.
