NEW DELHI, June 25: Madhur Kalia and Gayatri Mendiratta claimed the singles titles in the boys and girls under-19 age category respectively in the Delhi State Junior Badminton Tournament which concluded at the I G Stadium here on Thursday.In boys' final, Kalia beat Hemant Duggal 15-7, 15-5 while Gayatri defeated Kanika Kambo 11-6, 11-4.
Manik Sehgal and Renu Aaswal won the boys and girls under-16 titles, bating Mubashir Khan and Diva Arora respectively.
Ashmet Arneja defeated Harmandeep Singh 18-17, 15-6 to annex the boys under-10 crown while Neha Chojar beat Meenakshi 12-11, 8-11, 11-7 for the girls title in the same age group.
Results: Boys singles (under-10): Ashmeet Arneja bt Harmandeep Singh 18-17, 15-6).
Boys singles (under-13): Himanshu Kharbanda bt Ujjawal Kharbanda 15-11, 9-15, 15-11).
Boys singles (under-16): Manik Sehgal bt Mubashir Khan 18-17,15-1.
Boys singles (under-19): Madhur Kalia bt Hemant Duggal 15-7, 15-5.
Girls singles (under-10): Neha Chojar bt Meenakshi 12-11, 8-11, 11-7.
Girls singles (under-13): Deepti Ranjan bt Isha Gupta 11-6, 11-6.
Girls singles (under-16): Renu Aaswal bt Diva Arora 11-9, 11-6.
Girls singles (under-19): Gaytri Mendiratta bt Kanika Kambo 11-6, 11-4.
