VADODARA, June 25: Minister of state for health Ashok Bhatt paid a surprise visit to the under-graduate boys and girls' hostels of the Baroda Medical College here on Thursday morning, following several complaints pertaining to indiscipline and general hygiene in the hostel premises.According to official information, Bhatt, who visited the Bhailal Amin Hospital to call upon Bharatiya Janata Party member of Parliament from Bharuch Chandubhai Deshmukh, decided to visit the hostels too. The MP is in the hospital for the past couple of weeks undergoing treatment for his lung ailments.
Bhatt was accompanied by college dean D N Shah, senior doctor Kamal Pathak and hostel warden Vaishakhi Shukla.
According to the college officials, the minister had assured the hostel inmates an immediate solution their problems.
during his previous visit about a fortnight ago and visited the hostels today to review the situation. According to official information, he is also likely to visit the SSG Hospital on July 2 to inaugurate the Cobalt Room.
