Malaysian chief flays Lele's statement
MUMBAI:
Malaysian cricket chief Tunku Imran today refuted the statement of the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jaywant Lele that the matches in the September Commonwealth Games are not official One-Day Internationals.

Imran, head of the Malaysian Cricket Association said in a statement from Kuala Lumpur that the world cricket body has granted official One-Day International status to the matches to be held at the Commonwealth Games where the sport makes it debut.

Asia Cup tennis
MUMBAI:
Two major international tennis tournaments, the Asia Cup for men and $ 75,000 prize money ITF Women's Circuit tourney would be held in New Delhi in November.

The Asia Cup would be held from Nov 23 to 29 while the women's tourney would be held from Nov 30 to Dec 6, an All-India Tennis Association release said here today.
