2 detained under MPDA

MUMBAI, June 28: Notorious criminals Deepak kHADTALE (25) AND ALIAS cHHOTU Khan Abdul Gafoor Shaikh (25) have been detained under Maharashtra Prevention of Slumlords, Bootleggers, Drug Offenders and Dangerous Persons Act on Saturday and lodged in Nashik jail, according to the police. Police Commissioner R H Mendonca had ordered the detention of the two for their involvement in `serious crime'. Residents of Jamil Nagar Road in Bhandup (west), they had spread terror among residents of Kedare Chowk, Gadahav Naka, Utkarsh Nagar, Kokan Nagar, Jamil Nagar and adjoining areas in the jurisdiction of the Bhandup police station.
