Farmers block Nagpur highways

NAGPUR, June 29: Over 2,500 farmers were taken into custody by police at nearly 10 centres in Vidarbha when they blocked national and state highways alleging the aid for drought-hit cultivators announced by Maharashtra Government has not reached most of them.The blockade held up vehicular traffic for several hours and police took 2,585 farmers into custody today, reports here said.
