OECF to continue funding for B'lore water project

 
BANGALORE, June 29:The Overseas Economic Co-operation Fund (OECF) of Japan has categorically said that it would not stop funding the Rs 1072 crore Cauvery drinking water project. It might be noted that the Tamil Nadu chief secretary had written to OECF asking it to stop funding the water supply project as Karnataka was not implementing the interim orders of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal stipulating the release of 205 tmc of water annually to TN.
